Bodog Poker announced today that the site will run its own tournament series called the Bodog Poker Mini-SOP from May 30-July 3 that features the same 25 hold’em tournaments that run at the 2008 World Series of Poker at one percent of the buy-in.

On the same day as the WSOP $10,000 buy-in pot-limit hold’em championship, the Bodog Poker Mini-SOP will kick off with a $109 pot-limit hold’em event. Adding extra value for online tournaments players is the Tournament Leader Board (TLB) that will run throughout the series and determine who will get to compete in a 27-player tournament on July 10. That 27-player freeroll will award the top three finishers a $12,000 prize package to the 2009 WSOP main event, and the fourth- through ninth-place finishers will get $109 tournament dollars.

The top four players on the TLB will get an automatic entry into the final, while fifth through 100th place will compete for one of the 18 seats to be awarded in the semifinal qualifier. The last five seats into the final will be picked from a random “Wild Card” drawing among players who have participated in at least three Mini-SOP events.

Players can take advantage of a special Bodog deposit bonus from Card Player.
