Irish Charity for Autistic Children to Benefit From €25 Rebuy Tournament Saturday

Roy Brindley does his bit for charity this weekendCard Player Poker + Sports writer and pro poker player Roy Brindley is hosting a €25 rebuy charity tournament this Saturday, May 24 in the Liffey Arms, Newbridge, Co. Kidare, Ireland, in aid of Saplings, a school for autistic children.

A percentage of the prize pool will be withheld for the charity, and a number of local poker operators have donated prizes worth thousands of euro, including LadbrokesPoker.com, PaddyPowerPoker.com, APAT, and BetdaqPoker.com.

Players can bid in the charity auction for a host of prizes, including a snooker cue signed by former World Champion Steve Davis, a signed Padraig Harrington golf club, and a signed football shirt from Ireland and Liverpool football legend Ronnie Whelan.

Beginners classes will be held from 7 p.m. with the tournament starting at 8 p.m. Cash games will start from 10 p.m. The venue is fully licensed with a late-drinks licence.
