The much anticipated PartyPoker.com Poker Den returns to London on Sept. 31 and Oct. 1 with a stamina sapping 36-hour cash game session: The Big Game III.
A wealth of the world’s biggest poker stars set to return to the minimum $10,000 buy-in event including Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott, Tony G, Neil Channing, Roland De Wolfe, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Brian “sbrugby” Townsend, Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, and Jennfier Tilly.
Blinds start at $25/$50, players are free to include a straddle, and can leave the game when they wish.
Unique to the event will be the introduction of the “Party Pot” with players winning $1,000 from a selected hand every hour.
“There is a little doubt that the Poker Den has a cult following,” said a PartyPoker.com spokesman. “Clips from the first two games are all over the internet. Viewers love the fine line between poker genius and complete madness it seems to bring out in the world’s top pros! The Den is a small intimate venue so we just hope it is big enough to accommodate their egos!”
The epic cash game will be filmed for broadcast on Channel 5 in the UK early in 2009 by Matchroom Sport. Tournament director “Mad” Marty Wilson will act as tournament director and Jesse May will commentate for the entire 36 hours.
