Doyle Brunson is in Macau, China, today to help kick off the second leg of the Asian Poker Tour, which starts Wednesday, Aug. 27. Also today, at 3:30 p.m. Macau time, the APT Poker Room will be opened at Galaxy StarWorld Casino.

An hour later, Brunson will be signing books in the lobby of the casino, and then, at 6 p.m., a charity poker tournament will take place, hosted by Matt Savage and featuring Brunson, boxer Manny Pacquiao, singer Michael Wong, and others. The tournament benefits an organization called Caritas de Macau.

The championship event, a $5,300 buy-in tournament with a $1.5 million-guaranteed prize pool, runs from Aug. 27-31. Two day ones are scheduled to take place.

This is the second APT event to take place this year.
