FullTiltPoker.com's Million Pound Challenge brought 80 online hopefuls one step closer to their dream of beating some of the world’s top pros to become a millionaire.

7,892 players took part in a series of online freerolls at FullTiltPoker.com, but only 80 made it through to the no-limit hold’em live event in the Hellenic Centre in London.

The battle for £1 million was not going to be easy. After struggling down to the final six on day 1, one player had to face the toughest obstacle of the event on day 2, the Full Tilt pros.

Part-time professional player, Adam Noone won £50,000 for out-lasting the competition. He then went on to take down the first heads up match against poker idol Phil Ivey, earning an additional £50,000. Phil Ivey

Appearing determined as his winning streak continued, he beat 2008 National Heads Up Poker Champion Chris Ferguson for another £100,000, but couldn’t make it a hat trick when he ran into the den of Roland de Wolfe, and was devoured in the process.

Londoner Adam Noone took home £200,000 and the exclusive bragging rights for beating two of the three renowned pros. The event played out over two days on Sept. 15 and 16. However, no new millionaires emerged as a result.
