After just seven hours of play, the final table of the £5,000 pot-limit Omaha event found its winner. It was an event filled with highs and lows as it slayed its way down through the 165-strong field, eventually boiling down to Canadian Sorel Mizzi, and the great Dane, Theo Jorgensen. Their mission was to fight until one of them had nothing and one had everything, their aim — the £218,626 top prize and a World Series Of Poker Europe bracelet.Theo Jorgensen

After many peaks and troughs heads up between the Dane and the Canadian, it all came to an end on a K J 8 flop. Jorgensen bet 100,000, Mizzi raised, Jorgensen went all in, and Mizzi called. Jorgensen held A K K 3, and Mizzi held A Q 6 6, and it was top set versus the nut flush draw.

The atmosphere was electric as spectators cheered the final two on, urging certain cards to fall. Annette Obrestad screamed out, “Heart!” from the rail, another shouted, “Seven of diamonds.” Jorgensen, on his last nerve, cried, “Pair the f***ing board!”

The turn came the 2, and following the railbird's advice the river fell the 7, and with that, the event found its champion.

Theo Jorgensen earned a whopping £218,626 from the £825,000 prize pool for being the last man standing out of 165 players. He now becomes the second Dane to win a gold bracelet at the 2008 World Series Of Poker Europe, presented by Betfair, and the third Dane in history to win a WSOP bracelet.
