The fifth edition of the PokerStars European Poker Tour London stop will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 1 in London, England, at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino. Many professional players are expected to jump in on the action at one of the most popular stops on the EPT schedule. Five preliminary events led up to the £5,000 buy-in main event, which will be followed by a £20,000 buy-in high-roller event (PokerStars.com EPT London £1 Million Showdown) that will run on Oct. 5-6. There will be two day-one flights in the main event, and the four-day event will conclude at a final table on Sunday, Oct. 5. (Check out CardPlayer.com for EPT live video on Oct. 4-5.) £5,400 EPT London main event:
Players will begin with 10,000 starting stacks, and registration is capped at 500 due to space restrictions.
Wednesday, Oct. 1: Day 1A -- eight levels (all days will begin at 1:30 p.m. GMT)
Thursday, Oct 2: Day 1B -- eight levels
Friday, Oct. 3: Day 2 -- eight levels or play down to 32 players
Saturday, Oct. 4: Day 3 -- play down to eight players
Sunday, Oct. 5: Day 4 -- final table
£20,000 EPT London £1 Million Showdown:
PokerStars has guaranteed a £1 million prize pool for this event. Registration is capped at 100 players.
