World Champion Boxer Takes on Poker Players for Charity

Charity Tournament in Sheffield Sees Poker Players Try to K.O. Boxing Legends

A charity poker tournament being held this Saturday Oct. 11 at the Ivory at Harrisons in Sheffield, England sees local boxing Boxers to battle poker players on the felt rather than in the ringheroes Johnny Nelson, the World Boxing Organisation cruiserweight world champion and Ryan Rhodes take to the felt to benefit a host of local charities.

The boxers will have a bounty on their heads for which their opponents will win prizes. There is also a £10,000 prize for any player at the feature table who makes a royal flush.

VIP Platinum Table tickets cost  £1,000 for 10, Gold tables of 10 are £800 and Silver Tables of 10 can be bought for £600, while individual tickets can be purchased at £100, £80 and £60 for each package. Doors open at 7 p.m.
