The first of 16 preliminary events at the second-annual Caesars Palace Classic begins tomorrow at noon. Every open-buy-in event at Caesars will have Card Player Player of the Year points up for grabs between Friday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 26. Caesars Palace will run mega-satellites on Monday, Oct. 27, and the three-day no-limit hold’em championship begins on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Last year was the first year for the Caesars Palace Classic, and it featured 12 preliminary events, along with a $10,000 no-limit hold’em championship that was won by David Singer. This year, four additional preliminary events have been added, including a $1,000 no-limit hold’em heads-up event, a $1,000 no-limit hold’em six-handed event, a $500 pot-limit hold’em/pot-limit Omaha event, and a $500 H.O.R.S.E. event.
