Seat at the World Poker Tour Invitational Up for Grabs

The glitz and glam should be blinding on Oct. 8, when Hollywood meets Vegas for The Junior League of Los Angeles' (JLLA) annual "Viva Los Angeles" casino night.

More than 1,000 guests are expected to attend the fund-raising event, being held at Sony Pictures Studios Main Street in Culver City, California. The evening will include casino style gambling, free food and drinks, a silent auction, and, of course, a <!--StartFragment -->no-limit Texas hold'em tournament.

The tournament will be held in partnership with the World Poker Tour (WPT). The buy-in is $500, with the winner taking home a $25,000 seat in the WPT Invitational at Commerce Casino in February. The field will be capped at 100 for the tournament, so seats must be purchased in advance. Cards go in the air at 6 p.m. two hours prior to the start of the "Viva Los Angeles" main event.

Those without a poker face are invited to attend the main event, and eat, drink, dance, gamble, and rub elbows with celebrities. Tickets are $75 in advance or $100 at the door. The main event begins at 8 p.m.

Established in 1925, the JLLA is an educational and non-profit women's organization, serving women of all races, religions, and national origins.
