2008 Ho-Ho Hold'em Tournament Series Begins Today

The Ho-Ho Hold’em tournament series kicked off today at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California. The $100 no-limit hold’em tournament that began today is the first of 19 events that will take place between Thursday, Nov. 20 and Monday, Dec. 8. The no-limit hold’em championship event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, and it features a buy-in of $1,000. In addition to no-limit hold’em, the tournament series will also spread tournaments in pot-limit Omaha, limit hold’em, and Omaha eight-or-better. The tournament will also feature the Turkey Shoot $100 no-limit hold’em shootout on Thanksgiving. The Bicycle Casino has also added a number of guaranteed-prize-pool, deep-stack, and player-appreciation tournaments to the schedule that you can check out in the link below.

Last year’s winners of note included Romi Cariano, who cashed three times by making three final tables. He won two of those tournaments ($500 no-limit hold’em and $200 bounty no-limit hold’em). Pamela Rich won the $100 Queen of Queens no-limit hold’em tournament, and Rayna Davis won the Luck be a Lady special event. David Kim won the $300 Omaha eight-or-better tournament, and Peter Chou won the $1,000 no-limit hold’em championship for $72,800.
