Paul Foltyn The winner of the BlueSquarePoker.com's 2008 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour grand final main event is Paul “BadPab” Foltyn.

Foltyn overcame a field of 184 players and beat Jeff Duvall heads up to take down the £167,000 top prize.

After taking all of Guy Steel's chips and sending him packing in third place (£69,000), Foltyn, began the face-off as chip leader. But that possession exchanged hands a numerous amount of times over a three-hour period until the final hand of the night produced a champion.

With 6-4 against Duvall’s 6-5 on a K-8-5-7 board, it looked quite hopeless for Duvall. A nifty queen on the river demolished any chance of a split pot and put Foltyn in the number one spot.

The rest of the results from ninth to fourth place were:

9th: Richard Ashby (£13,800)
8th: Surinder Sunar (£16,550)
7th: Stuart Nash (£22,100)
6th: Tony Cascarino (£27,600)
5th: Stuart Rutter (£35,900)
4th: Eirik Svanes (£46,900)

The GUKPT will wrap up on Thursday, Dec. 4 at the G casino in Luton when the Champion of Champions event plays out.
