James 'smokefan20' JarrettSpadeClub Exclusive member James “smokefan20” Jarrett played a great game of poker on Nov. 23 and took home $1,500. Jarrett is married, has a teenage daughter, and lives in Tucson, Arizona, where he loves to play live poker at Casino Del Sol. Jarrett hopes to one day make it to the final table of the $30,000 Mega Monthly and is hoping to make a run for the SpadeClub Player of the Year race.

“There is some great competition here, so I look forward to battling out with some of the great players here,” Jarrett said.

When asked if he thought SpadeClub was a great leaning ground for new players, Jarrett replied, “SpadeClub is a great place for people to learn the game. Investment is minimal, and a great community is forming.”

Card Player: How long have you played poker, and what got you interested in SpadeClub?

James “smokefan20” Jarrett:  I started playing poker when I was 10. My first experience was losing penny poker after Thanksgiving dinner. I became interested in SpadeClub after the legislation made most online sites harder to deposit money onto.

CP: What are some of your other poker accomplishments?

JJ: I made a final table at a couple of live events locally. I have won a couple of medium-sized online tourneys on other sites.

CP: What was the hardest lesson you had to learn while playing poker?

JJ: When to get up and leave when I am running bad instead of trying to win back a losing session.

CP: What do you think sets great players apart from merely good players?

JJ: Patience and Adaptability. Each tourney or live game has its own feel, and being able to take your style and hopefully make right decisions each time.

CP: Do you consider yourself a recreational, amateur, or professional poker player?

JJ: I'm an amateur player. Hopefully a self-sustaining pro in my later years.

CP: Do you have any general advice to share with our readers about succeeding at SpadeClub?

JJ: Pick the right games and learn from successful players.

CP: Have you participated in any of the community features of SpadeClub? If so, what do you think?

JJ: Yes, I am starting to get into the community features. I have made some good friends and look forward to meeting many more people.

CP: Anything else you would like to add?

JJ: Just wanted to thank the Shulman's for a great site to play and earn, and that has such positive longterm potential.
