Alan Vinson Wins GCBPT Grand Final

Veteran "Tall" Alan Takes Down £83,000 and Gala Casinos British Poker Tour Title

English veteran “Tall” Alan Vinson has won the Gala Casinos British Poker Tour Grand Final beating Rob Akery heads up to lift the title, won last year by Joe Beevers, the £83,000 top prize and a World Series of Poker main event 2009 package.

Akery was chip leader going into the heads up game but Vinson clawed his way back after hitting a full house then the final hand of the evening saw the chips in the middle on the flop with Vinson’s J 6 having hit a J on to overcome Akery’s Q 9.

  8. Michael Fletcher — £6,400
