The PartyPoker.com Women’s World Open II begins its broadcast run on Channel 5 in the UK tomorrow night (Wed. 
The event saw 36 players stump up the $3,000 buy in with the eventual winner taking $50,000 from the $108,000 prize pool. Notable participants include defending champion Beverly Pace, Card Player writer Jen Mason, Late Night Poker finalist Maria Demetriou, former PartyPoker.com World Open champion Pippa Flanders, and Erica Schoenberg.
“Women’s tournaments are good for getting more ladies interested in poker,” said Pace. “The standard is no different to a mixed sex game but they do encourage some to come forward who wouldn’t do otherwise.”
