With the recent success of its newest ventures, British bookmaker William Hill continues to expand.

Just weeks ago, they brought the only live coverage of Major League Baseball to the U.K. via their Sky Channel 425, and launched a new line of betting products to match. A few days later, they announced their first ever land-based poker tournament, the "William Hill Poker Grand Prix."

The "William Hill Poker Grand Prix," a tournament that William Hill says is set to put the skill back in poker, has been met with an overwhelming response from the European poker community. A long list of professionals are already slated to play, including: Andy Black, Dave Colclough, David 'Devilfish' Ulliott, Roland De Wolfe, Joe Beevers, Barny Boatman, Ross Boatman, Tony G, Steve Vladar, Julian Thew, Juha Helppi, Roy Brindley, Peter Costa, Ram Vaswani, and Christer Johansson. The tournament has a ₤450,000 guarantee, with ₤100,000 going to first place. It will be almost exclusively pros, however William Hill is offering eight spots to customer skilled enough to qualify online.

The positive response to their recent announcements has led William Hill to add even more betting products to its gaming platform. Quick Bet Hi/Lo is the newest game to be added to the William Hill arcade. Quick Bet Hi/Lo is a
unique take on the Hi-Lo concept, where the layout of the cards enables the player to place bets at fixed odds prices on whether the next card will be higher or lower. Betters are given more opportunity to make bets at a level of odds, which they can dictate. Other features include turbo mode and the opportunity to shuffle for a different set of cards at least three times each game. Players can bank their winnings at any stage.
