Boylepoker.com pros continue to steal the limelight at the poker tables as former Irish Poker Championship winner Kieran "Flipper" Walsh won the Celtic Poker Tour in Clonmel, Ireland at the weekend picking up €40,000. Walsh, a well known figure on the Irish circuit who had gone into semi-retirement over the last year to concentrate on his business interests, beat over 200 players in the €500 event.
“I’ve been away from the game for quite a while concentrating on business,” he said, “and it’s great to come back with a win and prove to myself that I’ve still got what it takes. You might just be hearing more from me in the future!”
On the other side of the world recent Irish Poker Championship victor Rory Rees Brennan and current pot-limit Omaha world champion and Poker Million winner Marty Smyth have both made day 2 of the Aussie Millions in Melbourne. Smyth was chip leader for most of Day 1B and goes into day 2 with an above average stack while Brennan has less than average.
