Dennis PhillipsPokerStars has signed World Series of Poker November Nine members Dennis Phillips and Ylon Schwartz to its team of pros. Both players will promote the PokerStars brand in online and live events and will represent the site at various global poker tour circuits.

Phillips, an accountant for a trucking company in St. Louis, Missouri, finished third in the main event and scored a payday of $4,517,773 for his efforts. Before this summer, Phillips had been a regular at various cardrooms in Missouri but had yet to break through with a major final table. After winning a satellite in his home casino, Phillips went on the magical run that had many comparing him to former main-event winner Chris Moneymaker.

In addition to his duties for the site, Phillips also hosts a radio show in St. Louis and even has a blog right here on CardPlayer.com. He will be playing on PokerStars as ‘D.Phillips.’

Ylon SchwartzSchwartz was certainly more experienced than most at the main event final table, and that ability to draw from the past led him to a fourth-place finish and a $3,794,974 cash. The New York City resident has been on the tour for years, but before that he was a prominant chess player, hustling players out of their stakes.

The laid-back Schwartz at one point promised to disappear forever following the media circus that came with the main event. Instead, Schwartz will continue with his time in the spotlight and play under the name ‘YlonSchwartz.’

Both players join a PokerStars team that includes the likes of Vanessa Rousso, Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker, Joe Hachem, Chad Brown, Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Hevad Khan, Gavin Griffin, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Humberto Brenes, Victor Ramdin, and Isabelle Mercier, among others.

With their new additions, the team is now comprised of 31 players.
