The PokerStars.com Scandinavian Poker Awards take place tonight, the eve of the European Poker Tour Copenhagen, at the Luux in the Danish capital.
The region had a spectacular 2008 with Dane Peter Eastgate winning the 2008 World Series of Poker main event and fellow countryman Jesper Hougaard becoming the first player to win both a WSOP and WSOP Europe bracelet.
