Two significant bad beat jackpots hit at the weekend — Merge Network and CEREUS Network — paying out a total of just over Absolute Poker$2 million to both the lucky and unlucky players involved.

The Merge Gaming Network bad beat jackpot, which pays out when a player gets his quad sevens or better beaten by a higher hand, saw the winner “Ruggio” lose with a jack-high straight flush to a king-high straight flush. He picked up $417,396 for his losing hand while his opponent lifted “AELANI” scoop the pot and an additional $208,698.

Over on the CEREUS Network, home to Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, the jackpot of $813,341 was paid out when “HDCOWBOY” when his quad eights were beaten by the quad kings of "RANGERSXBOX". The former received $264,418.89 while the latter took home $132,995.95.
