Poker Pro Kathy Liebert Featured on The ScoopTop Pro Discusses Her Recent Milestone |

More than $5 million in tournament winnings. It’s a stat that virtually any poker player would like to have.
Kathy Liebert has come a long way from the $5 stud eight-or-better limit games in Colorado that first gave her the poker bug. Now recognized as one of the best pros on tour, Liebert sits down with Adam Schoenfeld and Diego Cordovez to discuss how she got her start and how she’s had to adjust her game on this week’s episode of The Scoop on Card Player TV (sponsored by Full Tilt).
After graduating with a business degree, Liebert was determined to take the corporate world by storm. But after long days and stressful work, she came to a certain, unswayable realization — she didn’t really like what she was doing. So the Long Island, New York, native left her job and headed West to California — not sure of what she wanted to do, just knowing that she wanted to do something else.
Southern California didn’t keep her for long, and after briefly considering law school, she upped and moved again — this time to Colorado. It was in the Centennial State that she found her passion — poker.
Liebert describes her journey to the game, and how she got her start in the poker industry in this week’s episode. She also tells of how she had to adjust her style of play once the “aggressive generation” came along.
Part 2 of the two-part episode will air next week on Card Player TV.
