Card Player reader Shaun "Cougars4444" Hendrickson recently won the Card Player-exclusive Pro Bowl in Paradise tournament series on Bodog Poker, and his win netted him a VIP vacation package to watch the Pro Bowl live in Hawaii.
Hendrickson got back from his trip a short while ago, and Card Player caught up with him to see how it went.
Card Player: How was the experience, overall?
Shaun "Cougars4444" Hendrickson: The hotel probably had the best view of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Overall, my only complaint was that the weekend went by way to fast, and it seemed like before you knew it we were on our way back to the airport to fly back home, but I will definitely be going back to Hawaii sometime in the future as it is gorgeous and there are a ton of things to do there.
CP: What were the benefits you experienced as part of the VIP Bodog package?
SH: We were able to attend a VIP party on Saturday night that was on the lawn of one of the hotels that had a great view of the coastline. It also had all the Pro Bowl cheerleaders there, as well as a really great assortment of food and an open bar. We also were able to attend the NFL official tailgate party on Sunday morning. That was pretty cool; it had food from each decade and an open bar, as well, and there had to be over 2,000 people at it, so it was a pretty cool atmosphere. The game itself was a lot of fun; the weather was the best you could ask for, and our seats were fantastic.
CP: Aside from the game, what other fun stuff or memorable experiences did you have?
SH: We ate some amazing food at a few places right near the hotel that were on the beach and were really magnificent. We also went to Pearl Harbor and did the tour of everything there, which was a very surreal experience to imagine all that had happened there and how it had really changed our country at the time. It really was such a blast, and I just wish it had not ended so quickly. Thanks to Card Player and Bodog for a great tourney series and an awesome trip to Hawaii to watch the Pro Bowl!
