The World Series of Poker is heading to Latin America this winter.

The CIRSA Corporation, which operates casinos and bingo halls throughout Latin America, has signed an agreement with Harrah's Licensing Company, LLC to host World Series of Poker satellite poker tournaments starting February of
next year.

Called the series the Majestic Poker Tour, CIRSA will organize tournaments in its casinos in Latin America in which players will try to win seats into the annual World Series of Poker main event.

The series begins at the Casino Majestic in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, in February, 2006. This will be followed by tournaments held at the Majestic Lima in Peru in April, the Gran Casino Isla Margarita in Venezuela, in May, and Majestic Panama in Panama in June.

The CIRSA Corporation currently owns or operates 15 traditional casinos in the Caribbean and Latin America. It also owns 37 electronic casinos, which receive more than 13 million visitors a year.
