Boylepoker.com today launched an innovative search for its next online poker pro to join the swelling ranks of players on its roster such as pot-limit Omaha and Poker Million champion Marty Smyth and World Series of Poker main event finalist Padraig Parkinson.
During the month of March online poker players can take part in nine online tournaments with the winner of each tournament progressing to a live final table to be held at the Jackpot Club, Dublin, Ireland on March 28 during the Boylepoker.com Poker for the Homeless March Madness festival.
The victor of this final table wins paid entry and expenses for the upcoming Irish Open 2009, the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Manchester main event, and the World Series of Poker $1,500 no-limit hold’em event.
The nine tournaments and dates (all starting in or around 8 p.m.) are:
Additionally a current Boylepoker pro such as Marty Smyth, Padraig Parkinson, Scott Gray, John O’Shea, and Rory Rees Brennan, will host each event and give the player who wins that tournament an hour’s tutorial before the final table.
Paul Spillane, head of poker at Boylepoker.com, said, “Over the last 12 months the Boylepoker ‘Lucky Logo’ has had an incredible run of winners. Ten different players have cashed for a total amount just under of $3 million led by pot-limit Omaha world champion and Poker Million winner Marty Smyth. We’re now giving online players the chance to don the logo and hopefully some of its luck will rub off on them.”
The Boylepoker.com Poker for the Homeless March Madness festival also hosts a €110 no-limit holdem freezeout on Friday March 27 and a €110 a team event on Sunday March 29.
