If you’re not familiar with Cake Poker’s Gold Cards, now might be the perfect time to get acquainted with the promotion.
Cake recently announced that it would be awarding 100 prize packages to the World Series of Poker based exclusively on its Gold Cards system. The prize package is worth $2,500 — $1,500 for the buy-in to event No. 54 and an additional $1,000 for spending money.
What are Gold Cards and how do you get them? Gold Cards are rewards distributed somewhat randomly to players sitting at a real-money ring game — any player can get one at any time, even if they fold their hand before the flop. While the cards are given away at all stakes and levels, they are distributed in relation to the rake the site takes, so the higher the limits, the more cards that are up for grabs.
As for what to do with those cards, that’s up to you. Cake Poker allows players to use their Gold Cards to enter its daily lottery for cash and tourney entries, compete on a leaderboard for over $10,000 in cash each month, and collect as many unique cards as possible to win its $52,000 jackpot.
The most recent jackpot was bestowed to $Jackpotbaby, a player who is frequently seen at the $5-$10 limit game on Cake.
