Andrew BrokosThis week’s free poker video training clip from Card Player Pro (powered by PokerSavvy Plus) features Andrew ‘Foucault’ Brokos. In this video, Brokos takes the viewer through bubble-play in a satellite that sent the winners to the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) main event (worth $10,300). This video, as well as three additional free clips by other instructors, is currently available on the Card Player Pro preview page.

In this video, Brokos discusses some fundamental philosophies for playing on the bubble of satellite tournaments. In this particular case, he has a decent-sized stack that puts him about fifth out of 17 remaining players, and he talks about how to play cautiously but assertively with a stack that isn’t quite good enough to fold into the money. He also goes over why he thinks it’s (possibly counter-intuitively) to his benefit to have good players with healthy stacks to his left in this situation and why he would fold pocket nines in late position against an early raise when he thinks he’s ahead of the raiser’s range.

That entire video can be viewed by members of Card Player Pro, as well as the full video catalog from PokerSavvy Plus. A seven-day trial membership is also available and gives full access to the videos and the site’s other features.
