Charity Event For Erskine Hospital Expected to Attract up To 500 Runners

PaddyPower Dial-a-Bet has launched the Paddy Power Charity Poker Open which it hopes will become the largest tournament ever to take place in Scotland.

Paddy Power Dial-a-betThe event takes place at the Normandy Hotel, Renfrew, with four starting heats on May 16, 17, 23, and 24. These heats are expected to attract up to 500 players with the top 40 progressing to the Grand Final on Saturday May 30.

The buy in for the event is £12 and players can register for each heat on the morning between 10 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. The prizes include an all expenses paid trip, including enty to, the Irish Open 2010, a trip for two to Las Vegas, and VIP packages to the Paddy Power Gold Cup and Ayr Gold Cup.

Paddy Power, spokesman for the Irish bookmaker, said “We are delighted to sponsor this tournament and look forward to not only hosting Scotland’s biggest ever poker event but also to raising much needed funds for this incredibly worthwhile organisation”

The Erskine hospital has cared for over 70,000 patients since it was established in 1916 and Paddy Power hopes to raise thousands of pounds for it during this event.
