Online Poker Gross Profit Static at BetssonNo Change in Poker Revenue During First Quarter at Swedish Operator but Year-on-Year Revenue Down |

Betsson, the publicly-quoted Swedish online poker operator, today announced static poker gross profit for the first quarter of 
2009 at SEK41 million (€3.85 million) compared to SEK41.2 million in the previous quarter in 2008.
The share poker commands of Betsson’s entire business, which also comprises casino and sportsbook, is changed only marginally from 15.9 percent in the period Oct. to Dec. 2008 to 16 percent from Jan. to Mar. 2009. However it was down considerably compared to Jan. to Mar. 2008 when it formed 25.1 percent of Betsson’s overall business.
Poker growth was down 9 percent in the first quarter of 2009 compared to the first quarter of 2008. Overall revenue across all platforms at Betsson rose by 38 percent to SEK315.5 (€227.8) million.
