Welcome to the new CardPlayer.com.

Card Player Media has come a long way since its first magazine debuted in a few select cardrooms in Nevada and California in 1988. What began as a 40-page pamphlet, entirely black and white, quickly lived up to its motto as “The Poker Authority.”

While the magazine expanded its reach, the company bought the CardPlayer.com domain in 1995 to further spread the news of a growing industry around the globe. Although the site has evolved with many facelifts over the last 14 years, perhaps no redesign is as significant and as complete as what you see now.

Today, the company announced the launch of its new site, with a total redesign that is aimed at helping aspiring poker players fine-tune their skills with new features and an easier-to-use layout.

The site displays a brand-new look, with strategy sections that bring together educational content from Card Player magazine, Card Player TV, and some of the best poker blogs in the world, written by the best players in the game.

All of the popular features of the previous site have returned with improved graphics, including hand matchups, an odds calculator, and a Poker Stats Tracker that helps players keep track of their results (formerly known as Poker Analyst).

There are also new freerolls that Card Player readers can take advantage of, with more tournaments to be added in the weeks and months ahead.

Readers can now benefit from having an updated tournament calendar that lets them search for both upcoming events and results with a clickable calendar function.

Known for its massive player database, CardPlayer.com will feature player overview pages that have merged the player’s live and online stats, while also providing additional photos, videos, and articles on each player, where applicable. There are approximately 110,000 players in all.

Readers are encouraged to go the Card Player Support Center for any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the new site.
