PokerStars.com is holding satellites to two big poker events that will take place in December and January.
Each Sunday through Nov. 27, there will be two chances to qualify for the World Series of Poker Circuit event at Atlantic City's Showboat Casino. The event runs from Dec. 6-9, and will be hosted by Greg Raymer. All times are Eastern Standard.
First, a $33 tournament where at least one seat to the WSOP Circuit event will be given away takes place at 6:40 p.m. Satellites to this tournament start at 4:35 p.m. and cost $2 with rebuys.
Players get another shot at 8:15 p.m. with a $150 tournament. A $5.50-with-rebuys double-shootout satellite to this tournament starts at 5:45 p.m.. Satellites for the PokerStars.com Caribbean Adventure, which takes place from Jan. 4-11, are now running at the host site. Winners of the prize package receive the entry fee to the World Poker Tour tournament, valued at $8,000, seven nights at Atlantis Paradise Island for two people that's valued at $3,000, and $1,000 spending money.
There are plenty of chances to win a package for as little as $2. The satellite schedule follows. All times are Eastern Standard.
A $175 double shootout takes place three times a day at 7:15 p.m., 9:35 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. Satellites to the shootout take place each day at 4:45 p.m., 7:05 p.m. and 9:25 p.m. and cost $5.50 with rebuys.
Each night at 11:30 p.m., a $33-with-rebuys satellite takes place. A prize package will be awarded for every $12,000 in the pool. Satellites to this tournament take place each day at 6:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. for $2 with rebuys. Every Saturday at 5 p.m., a $650 buy-in satellite takes place. Satellites to this tournament run each day and are as follows: $80 buy-in at 12 a.m., 3 p.m., and 9 p.m.; $27 plus rebuys at 12:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 7 p.m., and 9:30 p.m.; $3 plus rebuys at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 10 p.m.; $11, $18, and $36 sit-and-go double shootouts; and $43 and $86 sit-and-go multi-table tournaments run throughout the day.
Frequent Player Point (FPP) satellites to the Sunday 10,000 FPP tournament where three packages are given away take place daily: 100 FFP satellites at 1:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 10:30 p.m.; 1,000 FFP satellites at 1 a.m., 8 a.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m.
