Bodog.com Offers Tournament FlexibilityPlayers Can Use Poker Credits Any Way They Choose |
|
By winning tournament credits in Bodog.com's poker room, players can choose which big poker events they want to try to win their way into for as little as $1.50.
Most poker sites run supersatellites in which winners play for a chance to win an entry into a specific tournament. But Bodog.com runs supersatellites in which winners earn tournament credits that can be used to play most of the site's sattelites.
Right now, supersatellites are running for a chance to win a trip to either a World Series of Poker Circuit event or a World Poker Tour event. But even if players win tournament credits in satellites that are being run for those two events, they don't have to redeem them by playing in the big satellite to the events. They could use the credits to buy their way into the $100,000-guaranteed tournament held every Sunday, for example.
"Cheap seat" satellites into the WPT/WSOP quarterfinal satellites run throughout the day for $1.50. Five-dollar satellites into the quarterfinals are also taking place throughout the day. The $29 quarterfinal takes place several times a day. The schedule for this weekend is: Friday, Nov. 11, 6 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 12, 12:30 a.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 13, 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Semifinals for the L.A. Poker Classic start January 18. Semifinals for the 2006 WSOP start in February.
