The first leg of the Dusk Till Dawn £1 million guaranteed Grand Slam starts this Wednesday May 27 at 2 p.m. in the Nottingham club and the £1,000 buy in main event could see an overlay on the £250,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Last Wednesday May 20, with just one week to go, only 64 players had registered for the event. This past weekend’s Grosvenor UK Poker Tour attracted a small-than-expected crowd of 151 players, perhaps as a result of player bankroll management ahead of the imminent World Series of Poker marathon in Las Vegas.
The five-day event will see players play six levels each day starting at 2 p.m. with 20,000 chips and a two hour clock.
The £1 million Guaranteed Grand Slam comprises three main events taking place at the Nottingham, England poker club. The remaining two will be played in September and December 2009.
