The PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour returns today, Wednesday January 16, for its first outing in 2013. The six-day festival rolls into The Balmoral five-star hotel in Edinburg, Scotland.
Up to 500 players can be accommodated in the £700 + £70 buy in main event which has two day ones and gets underway tomorrow Thursday, January17.
The marquee no-limit hold’em event has a guarantee of £250,000 and players will start with 15,000 in chips and a 60-minute clock.
Players should note that cash cannot be accepted at the venue and registration must take place online via a PokerStars account or at the Dusk Till Dawn cash desk.
Three percent of all prizepools will be withheld to cover staffing costs.
Events get underway with a £100 + £10 buy in sixhanded no-limit hold’em tournament this evening at 6 p.m. local time followed by a super satellite into the main event (with unlimited rebuys) and a £50 + £5 buy in late night hyper turbo tournament at 10 p.m..
Also on offer over the course of the coming days is an £2,000 + £150 eighthanded high roller event on Saturday, a variety of low buy in turbo events and a £200 + £20 buy in pot-limit Omaha tournament on Sunday.
The final table takes place on Monday January 21.
