Only a day after winning the Monte Carlo Millions, Phil Ivey showed again why he may be the best poker player in the universe when he bested a field of all-stars to win the FullTiltPoker.net Invitational, which was broadcast live from Monaco Thanksgiving evening by Fox Sports Network.

While people all across the country thought about having Thanksgiving seconds, Ivey took home $600,000 in the tournament that was shown live in the United States and 13 international territories.

John Juanda, who joined Ivey at the final table the day before at the Monte Carlo Millions tournament, won $280,000 for second place, and David "Devilfish" Ulliott finished third to win $120,000.

Ivey had to navigate a battlefield of poker's biggest guns to be the last man standing. Phil Hellmuth, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, and Gus Hansen all walked away with nothing but the experience of playing in Le Casino de Monte-Carlo.

The tournament took place in the high-stakes room at the casino where formal attire is required, and the players complied. People tuning in to the live broadcast saw the players dressed to the nines in suits and tuxedos.

Juanda also had an impressive two days. First, he won the second-chance tournament at the Monte Carlo Millions, which gave him a seat at the final table. He eventually finished sixth and earned $100,000.
