PokerStars.com is currently working on the schedule for the next World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), but has kindly leaked some of its definite plans. First of all, there will be $40 million guaranteed over 42 events starting on Sept. 3, and ending with event 42, the $5,200 no-limit hold’em main event on Sept. 20.

The main event has a guarantee of $10 million and will run for two days. A minimum of two events will take place each day, some days will see three. Overall, the popular festival sees an increase this year of $10 million and nine extra events.

The announced information confirms both the continuing growth of Poker Stars and also that the WCOOP is the biggest online tournament series around. The news comes at the same time as Team PokerStars Pro and European Poker Tour founder, John Duthie, finished runner-up to Leo Wolpert at the World Series of Poker $10,000 World Heads-up Championship.

The rough WCOOP schedule can be found at PokerStarsBlog.com.
