The World Series of Poker main event is on its way, but before it begins, all eyes will be on last year’s champion Peter Eastgate and runner-up Ivan Demidov. The two will come together on Friday at 6 p.m. (ET) for a rematch online, replicating the exact circumstances of 2008, all in the name of charity.

The last time these two faced each other at a final table, it took more than 15 hours to play out, plus their heads up saw the biggest blind level in WSOP history when it reached level 39 with a whopping big blind of one million in chips.

Eastgate will once again sit down with 80,300,000 in chips, and Demidov will get a second chance to prove his worth as he begins with 56,600,000. The blinds will start off at 120,000-240,000 with a 30,000 ante.

The winner will have the experience of seeing $10,000 go to their chosen charity. Last year’s Danish champ, Eastgate has chosen the Danish Refugee Council, while Russian Demidov hopes to be making a donation to The Hospice Charity Fund “Vera” INN.

All the action can be watched live on the PokerStars client as the two recreate the battle scene, vying for pride, honour, glory, and most importantly, charity.
