Last weekend, the Spearmint Casino in Prague saw Russian Vladislav Shuravin crowned the champion of the third European Masters of Poker. A deal was done and Shuravin ended up walking away with €39,675 for first place. It was a prize well-earned after beating 257 other players, and a difficult final table which included EMOP Bulgaria champ Reuven Dayan.
However, it was third place finisher Martin Hjorth who took home the most, €41,146, because at the time the deal was made (five-handed), he had the most chips.
The final payouts were:
First — Vladislav Shuravin — €39,675
Second — Petr Pesko — €29,819
Third — Martin Hjorth — €41,146
Fourth — Jukka Ylinen — €28,837
Fifth — Emil Westman — €23,021
Sixth — Reuven Dayan — €10,300
Seventh — Ted Magnusson — €8,772
Eighth — Henrik Johansson — €7,224
Ninth — Kim Frölander — €5,676
Qualifiers are currently running across the Entraction network for the next stop of the tour, and players can take part for as little as €2 or 200 VIP points. The €1,100 buy-in event will take place in Barcelona from Jul. 29 to Aug. 1 and is expected to see 500 players and a prize pool of €500,000.
There are many ways for players to ensure a seat in Barcelona, such as simply buying in directly via their accounts on Entraction, or the more traditional way — trying their luck in any of the nine daily satellites to the €100 Sunday Main Qualifier (7.40 p.m. CET) or five daily satellites to the €100 Wednesday Main Qualifier (7:40 p.m. CET). Six packages worth €1,800 are up for grabs every Sunday, and four are on offer each Wednesday.
