Last week saw a lot of moving and shaking as PartyGaming hired some new highly experienced figures for its marketing sector.
Firstly, eGaming Review reported that Chris Welch, former European managing director for Centrebet, took on the role as new head of marketing for PartyGaming, replacing Jon Salmon who held the position for only 11 months. Welch has a lot of experience including marketing director roles for PokerStars, Coral Eurobet, and Pinnacle Sports.
Welch now works directly for Jim Ryan, but this isn’t the first time he has worked for Party’s chief executive officer (CEO), as when Ryan was CEO of software company Excapsa, Welch was head of marketing for UK, Europe, and Asia there also.
Next, eGaming Review revealed that Welch will be joined by former 888 vice president of brand marketing, Matt Robinson, who will head PartyGaming’s London marketing operations.
Robinson did a lot in his former role at 888.com in his six years there, not only did he launch the 888 brand in the UK, but he was also responsible for its global branding, global offline acquisition, sponsorships, and advertiser funded programming.
