A new DVD has been released that promises to teach hold'em players how to spot cheats and poker scams at the table.
Double George, LLC is calling its 90-minute video "a course in protective strategy" on its website. The DVD's name, "Cheating at Hold'em (The Essentials)," makes it seem like it's a course in a less honest field.
Hosted by David Malek, a game protection consultant, it outlines the different ways cheaters cheat honest players at the hold'em table.
Chapters on cheating range from marked cards and cheating devices like "shiners" to stripping the deck and splash moves (which every good cheat knows is secretively skimming money from the pot or other players).
A chapter on how to handle a cheat if one is caught is also included, as well as tips on how to protect your hands and how to shuffle a deck to ensure a complete random deal.
The DVD costs $29.95.
