The Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge which sees online pro Tom Dwan take on four players heads-up and live at $500,000 a game is coming up this September, and Boylesports.com has today announced the betting market for it.

First to take the plunge is Brit Sammy George. The two will play heads up with blinds of $500 and $1,000 and neither player can leave until they lose their buy-in or they play at least 500 hands. After this, the winner will be determined by the player who has won the most money.

Paul Spillane, head of Boylepoker.com, said, “Durrrr’s heads up high-stakes experience means he’s a very strong favourite here but over just 500 hands anything could happen and George is putting his money where his mouth is and has to be respected for that.”

Dwan is the 1/3 favourite, while recent Card Player Europe cover star Sammy George is the outsider at 9/4. Durrrr has plenty of practise however as he is still busy with his online battle with Patrik Antonius. The two have met the half-way mark of their 50,000 hand challenge with Antonius currently $76,000 ahead.

Cash game lover George, who appeared on The Big Game and Poker Million, spoke about the event on The Poker Show, “It’s man to man, lion against lion. I’ve spoken to Tom and he’s a nice guy but when it comes to the poker table there are no friends. I know he’s one of the best in the world but I’m a people person, I like to play people, I wanna smell their fear.

“The reason I’ve taken on this challenge is to prove something to myself and to the rest of the poker community. If he wants to take chips off me he’ll have to do it with a hand. He’s not gonna bluff me off anything. I’ll be ready and like Muhammed Ali or a snake underwater, I’ll be waiting.”
