Online Poker -- Steve Gross Final Tables Sunday MillionGross Retakes Online Player of the Year Lead |
|
The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) hasn’t even started yet, and already the Card Player Online Player of the Year Race has been turned on its head. With yet another strong showing in a Sunday major, Steve “gboro780” Gross has retaken the OPOY race lead, jumping ahead of Shaun “TedsFishFry” Deeb by the narrowest of margins. These two are no strangers to the top of the leader board, having traded the lead numerous times, occupying the top spot for the majority of the year.
Gross finished sixth in the PokerStars Sunday Million yesterday for $53,958, and in the process jumped from fifth to first in the rankings. He has now earned $935,918 in OPOY-qualifying tournaments this year alone, second only to Jude “j.thaddeus” Ainsworth, who won the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Main Event in April.
You can check out the final results for Sunday’s flagship events on Full Tilt, PokerStars, UltimateBet, and Cake below:
