The U.S Gaming Exchange is selling off its portfolio of 1,637 gambling-themed domain names in an auction on eBay that ends Jan. 16. The starting bid is $150,000. No one has yet to place a bid.

The collection of "dot com" names was an integral part of U.S. Gaming Exchange's original goal of creating the largest online gambling network in the country. The collection of domain names are all variations of "holdem," "poker," "casino," "slots," "blackjack," and "sportsbook." All the names are prefixed with local area codes.

Two examples of the types of names for sale are "312poker.com" and "312holdem.com," which can be used to market to people in Chicago, whose area code is 312.

If the auction fails to generate a bid, Kevin Golob, the owner of U.S. Gaming Exchange, may sell the names one at a time.

The auction can be found at eBay by searching for "gaming domain portfolio" at the site.
