Alyson Chadwick wins Betfred Ladies' Poker Tour SpainThe Betfred Ladies’ Poker Tour (BLPT) in the Spanish resort of Calahonda, Costa del Sol at the weekend was won by Alyson Chadwick who took down the first prize of £1,890 and a place in the grand final in November.

Having only played poker for two years she made her fourth final table in Spain. Chadwick was chip leader with five players left and got heads-up with Lisa Scotney when Lynne Beaumont, the two-time BLPT champion, was eliminated in third place.

Chadwick will be the seventh player at next month’s grand final at London’s Western Club and the qualified 10 finalists will have the chance to follow in the footsteps of dual champion Beaumont by securing a £20,000 poker sponsorship package for 2010 from Betfred which will be awarded to the overall winner.

The final heat of the 2009 Betfred Ladies’ Poker Tour takes place at the Western Club, London on Saturday, November 7.
