Tonight, television viewers will get a glimpse into what it's like to sit down at a cash poker game in Las Vegas that has more than $1 million in chips on the table to be won or lost.

High-Stakes Poker premiers 9 p.m. EST on GSN, which is formally known as the Game Show Network. The series will run Mondays for 13 weeks. The series was filmed at the Golden Nugget in Vegas.

The buy-in for this table is $100,000 and the game attracted such poker greats as Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Jennifer Harman, Ted Forrest, Phil Hellmuth, and Johnny Chan, as well as businessmen such as celebrity poker legend Dr. Jerry Buss, who also owns the L.A. Lakers.

Other businessmen who can afforded the minimum $100,000 buy-in will also make appearances to try to battle the sharks.

This isn't a tournament. The players are playing with their own cash dollars. What they win, they win, and what they lose, they lose.

The one-hour shows are hosted by Gabe Kaplan and A.J. Benza.

The show won't just focus on the intense high-stakes poker action. Behind-the-scenes features on the life of high-stakes poker players away from the table will also be shown.
