Cake PokerExpect more freezeout events.

That was the message from Cake Poker as the popular poker network introduced two brand-new daily tournaments on it’s schedule in what they’re considering phase 1 of a redesigned schedule.

“We found the most popular $50 tournament on the Internet and parked our $50 tournament right behind it,” said Lee Jones, the cardroom manager for Cake Poker. “Now our players can play at Cake along with the competitor’s event.”

Cake Poker is hoping the innovative move — which actually accommodates players who play on multiple poker sites — will be popular among its customers.

The new $50+$5 tournament will run at 8 p.m. ET every night. The turbo tournament boasts a guarantee of $6,000.

Cake will also host a nightly $150+$12 freezeout at 9 p.m. ET with a guaranteed prize pool of $20,000.

Cake Poker credited Serge “adanthar” Ravitch and Eric “Rizen” Lynch for helping with the redesigned schedule. The complete new schedule is expected in early 2010.
