Ross Boatman Crowned WPT Marrakech High Roller King

Boatmans Take Over Moroccan WPT High Roller Final Table

Ross BoatmanBrit Ross Boatman beat off a field of 45 to become the champion of the World Poker Tour Marrakech high-roller event. The €9,000 buy-in event saw a total prize pool of €356,671, and most of it went to the Boatman brothers, with Ross taking home €135,535 for the win, and his brother Barny finishing in fourth place for €41,017.

The final table payouts were:

1st place — Ross Boatman (€135,535)
2nd place — Dominik Nitsche (€82,034)
3rd place — Thomas Bichon (€55,284)
4th place — Barny Boatman (€41,017)
5th place — Serge Kammerer (€28,534)
6th place — Najib Bennis (€14,267)

The €4,500 buy-in main event begins tomorrow at 2 p.m. (local time) and has a cap of 350 players. The field is expected to be interesting with some of the best in the game having made the trip to the Moroccan wonderland.
