Andrew BlackBoylepoker.com announced today that more than 1,400 players will take part in its International Poker Open which kicks off at the Regency Hotel in Dublin on Friday.

Such a big field will create an anticipated prizepool of $350,000, and will also break the record for the largest poker tournament (in terms of number of entries) ever held outside of America.

Head of the site, Paul Spillane, said, “The IPO is one of the highlights of the poker year with a massive international field, terrific structure, huge prize pool and all the fun you’d expect from a weekend in Dublin. For those who couldn’t make it be sure to check our new-look poker blog where we’ll be posting bust outs, chip counts, colourful tales, videos, and live streaming of the final table.”

The Poker Show Live will also be there gathering news and interviews for next week’s shows; they will have a lot to choose from with players such as Marty Smyth, Andy Black, Luke Schwartz, Neil Channing, Surinder Sunar, Julian Gardner, Padraig Parkinson, Lucy Rokach, Simon Trumper, and Maria Demetriou in attendance throughout the weekend.

Players attending Europe’s largest poker tournament can find their seat draw at Boylepoker.com at 5 p.m. the day before their starting day. Those who are not attending can find coverage and final streaming at Boylepokerblog.com.

Any last minute poker-hunters should know that cash entries will not be accepted on the day. However, Boylepoker.com is offering the final 40 seats to the International Poker Open as direct online buy-ins for day 1A of the event tonight at 7 p.m..

Irishman Ruairi Coy was the lucky winner last year. He took home €37,530 from a total prize pool of €205,000, of which €32,000 was added by Boylepoker.com. It set the record for the largest poker event outside of the states, and is due to set it again this year with an even bigger field and prize pool.
