The first World Series of Poker Circuit event of the 2009-2010 season begins today at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana. The circuit stop will host a total of 13 tournaments, which culminates with the $5,000 no-limit hold’em championship that begins on Friday, Oct. 23. The games spread will include no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and H.O.R.S.E. There will be a ladies no-limit hold’em event on Sunday, Oct. 18.
The Hammond stop will also feature a variety of satellite tournaments for the championship event. Super-satellites will run on Friday, Oct. 16 (4 p.m.), and Thursday, Oct. 22 (3 p.m. and 9 p.m.), and the buy-in is $235. The super-satellites feature $100 rebuys. Mega-satellites will run on Sat. Oct. 17 (4 p.m.), and Thursday, Oct. 22 (noon and 6 p.m.), and the buy-in is $555 with no rebuys. The tournament series will conclude on Sunday, Oct. 25, when a champion is crowned in the no-limit hold’em championship.
