EPT SnowfestChief Executive of the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour (EPT), John Duthie, today announced the second half of the schedule for season 6. The events include well-loved stops such as Copenhagen, Prague, and of course the grand final in Monte Carlo, but the new addition of EPT Snowfest in the Austrian Alps should provoke even more interest in the increasingly popular tour.

The new event will take place in Saalbach-Hinterglemm from Mar. 21-26.

Last season was a testament to the tour. There were 11 events with 7,901 players from 97 different countries. A total prize pool of almost €55 million ($77m) was generated, but this record looks set to be broken with season 6 featuring two extra events.

Duthie said, “The spectacular success of the EPT London Poker Festival a few weeks ago shows that players really relish the chance to play more side events, with a variety of games and buy-ins. We had huge names entering – and winning – these events which created massive interest throughout the week. With 730 players, the Main Event broke the record for the biggest poker tournament ever held in the UK!”

Here is the schedule for the rest of the season:

Nov. 16-21 — EPT Portugal
Dec. 1-6 — EPT Prague
Jan. 4-14 — PCA
Jan. 20-25 — EPT Deauville
Feb. 16-21 — EPT Copenhagen
Mar. 2-7 — EPT Germany
Mar. 21-26 — EPT Snowfest
Apr. 15-21 — EPT San Remo
Apr. 25-30 — EPT Grand Final Monte Carlo

Online satellites are currently running for as little as $2.22 for the upcoming EPT Vilamoura event in Portugal, and also for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas.
