Charlotte Langton took down £3,395 plus a seat in the Betfred Ladies Poker Tour grand final after clinching victory at the penultimate leg of the tour in London at the weekend.
Langton topped the field of 102 players at the Western Club but the story of the evening was arguably Sue Adams who booked her third consecutive BFLPT grand final place when she had a nervous wait to see if Shelly Postchild would finish sixth or better to match her points total.
Postchild finished 10th and Adams was confirmed as a grand finalist. Previously she has finished seventh and third in the grand final.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be in the grand final again and I can’t believe it really, I’m so chuffed,” said Adams. “I feel I’ve played really well all year and now I’d love to follow in the footsteps of Lynne Beaumont, who topped the leader board in the last two years and went on to win the final both times.”
The final table payouts were:
1 Charlotte Langton — £3,395 + a seat in the Grand Final
2 Lee-Anne Ball — £2,340
3 Wai Kwan Yuen — £1,755
4 Claire MacGregor — £1,170
